Pottery Classes

Join us for classes in a very relaxed atmosphere and experience a great sense of accomplishment. Working with clay is a great stress reliever and we promise lots of fun and laughter.

A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space in each class. This deposit will be applied toward the class fee. You may register at our Pottery & Gift Center, by phone, or by mail. Please note that if you wish to register by phone we cannot guarantee your seat in the class until we receive the required deposit.

The fee for each class is $125 and includes:

  • One 25 lb bag of clay
  • Glazes & Firing


Note: There is a $10 fee to puchase throwing tools for the Wheel Throwing classes.

Handbuilding Classes

Classes meet once a week for six weeks.

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

This class introduces the students to clay using different techniques of handbuilding such as slab, coil, pinch, extruded and combinations.

Students will complete 6 - 12 pieces by the end of the class.

Thursday Evenings
February 26 - April 2, 2015
7:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Students who have taken the Beginning Handbuilding class can advance to this class in order to apply the techniques to create more complex forms.

Students will complete 4 - 6 pieces by the end of the class.

This class is perfect for the beginner or the advanced potter. You will be learning many techniques on the potters wheel and each student will complete a number of finished pieces.
